Oh man. Your summers must be sweltering. It's actually super awesome where I'm at. The hottest it ever got (on record) was 33.8 C (92.84 F for if you're from the States xD) – it usually averages 14-22 C though. But on that note, we have (if lucky) 3 months of sunny weather, and a gazillion more months of rain. Haha.

Although recently the weather is messed up, on one day it can rain all day long and there’ll be flood, the next day is just so hot you can get an instant tan if you don’t wear jacket.

I think your chastisement of readers on MangaFox was needlessly bitchy. Maybe you should give a little thought to the reasons so many people prefer to use sites like that; going to a hundred individual scanlator sites to check for/acquire updates and new series I might like is an arduous process and I have precious little free time; I’d prefer to spend it actually reading manga, not looking for it.
I’ve scanlated manga before, and I found that engaging with MangaFox’s community of readers was sufficiently rewarding. I’ve never even given much thought to maintaining my own scanlation site, because that seems like a hassle.
That’s not to say that sites like MangaFox don’t have a lot of problems, but then scanlating itself is already a process which denies the original creator their due rewards. It would be nice if someone would come up with a better solution that makes everything fair and accessible across the board, but that’s not likely to happen any time soon.
To be clear, I’m not criticizing you for not posting your scanlations on MangaFox – that’s your prerogative – I’m criticizing you for being an insulting bitch to most of your readers, whose only “crime” (in your eyes) is continuing to read it on the same site where they found it in the first place.
I see where you are coming from and I apologize that you were offended enough that you used your precious free time to come to our site to comment on it. It must have upset you a lot.

I agree with the problem with the scanlation world. We are, in fact, distributing work that isn’t ours. Same as aggregate sites like mangafox. It doesn’t make up for this fact, but we would stop distributing and scanlating if it became licensed. =) Please rest assured.

However I respect when my partner feels like the readers are leeching from her and respect her wishes to not post on websites such as that or delay them. Through this blog I feel like we have created a community of friends who help support us and encourage us to keep at our work. A prime example of that is only recently, when Jackie and I had been on quite a break, and a couple of comments really inspired us to kick back into the latest chapters. You made it clear in your final paragraph that you were not criticizing us for that, but rather our own way of making a community. (Which for us, there was no such thing on manga fox).
I don’t even see how we have “criminalized” manga readers as you say, and our experiences with them have obviously been completely different to your own.
However your response to this was complete misconception, proving you lack any form of humour or respect for community, and it was /completely uncalled for/. I was the one who wanted to post the chapters, but I also was the one who created the pages at the end of chapter 12 and I will not allow my team-mate to be abused because of that.
