Great News: Bonus Story Completed

Please, please, hold onto your hats. Yes it’s less than a week since the last release and now we have ANOTHER release?????? Please worship us.

Don’t get too excited. It’s just a little bonus story that was at the end of the chapter as well as some of the authors free-talking.

And with this…

VOLUME TWO IS 100% COMPLETE!

So next we need to move onto the next volume. I’m not sure how long of a break Jackie wants to take, so I won’t be setting the timer until we start.

Update or whatever

Midnight.

Literally. So I decided its about time for an update. Jackie’s got 24 pages translated, so that’s about

53(.333333333333……) %.

Just finished all the cleaning and redrawing 100% and let me tell you this chapter is….

REDRAWING HELL.

I mean what is this!? The author has some sort of fetish for writing over the top of Shitou’s hair.  Do you even know how many hairs I have had to redraw on him! Praise me when he goes bald because hair is hell to redraw!

And so then I start having this messed up little fantasies about if I was a typesetter I would purposely make all of my typesets so hard to redraw it would be impossible and that person would suffer mwahahahahaha… and then I remembered that time when I was writing my comic and I accidentally didn’t save the edit file so I had to redraw the .png and… it was literally impossible I just ended up sticking far speech bubbles over the top but yeah.

So I don’t do pages in order particularly, so (just a bit ago) I had just finished redrawing something and I got to the second to last page and the BIGGEST MONSTER OF A HAIR REDRAW. And I finished that and there was one page left to go and you guessed it huge redraw I almost threw my tablet across the room in rage and…

Look at me? I’m rambling like Jackie. What have I become!??? She’s contagious!

Lets just say I have a new respect for art forgers.

[Update] The Mission Continues

To the delight of your eager ears, you will be thrilled to hear that Jackie and I are once again hot of the trail of our newest bounty, chapter 11.

And this one ‘aint no petty criminal, oh no. It’s a big boss, a whopping 45 pages long, and a whopping whole lot more to translate. But that wont stop us. As you see, the countdown has been set (using my special release day determining technique) and after ‘accidentally’ mucking around for a few days, we’re onto it.

Now, Jackie would probably insert some sort of ‘exhausted’ gif right here from some anime or another, or even that dreaded movie…. like she did last time. But not too long ago, on the topic of GIF’s I was saying that we really needed a Midnight Sun gif if anything. Of course Jackie let pass her forlorn sigh that unfortunately MS was not an anime. Well, I rolled up my sleeves, put in a couple of hundred hours of drawing, and I’m throwing this right in her face.

A little rough maybe, but hey, I’m amazing, and if any of you can do better I’d like to see it.

Speaking of the lot of you doing art, one of you voted for the submitting fan art on that poll not long ago. Was it your idea of a cruel trick on my poor tiny heart, or is it a dream come true? Anyone? On that same Poll, I am still being worshipped as the maximum, so remember, vote to worship Cae, as he is your GOD who makes Midnight Sun GIFS.

If anyone has a gif request of any character tell me two pages in where two similar transitioning images appear and I’ll take a look.

Of course no-one can beat Nanae though, as she is most delightfully insane. Someone (who couldn’t spell either) seemed to disagree with me on Mangago this week, so I started scheming around that Mangaago may be getting a “special edition” of chapter 11 next time… fufufu…heheheheeh….wahahah….HAHAHWHWHAHAHA.

Erm… I mean, who votes for sandwiches for footwear! What’s wrong with you people!? Half of you are wearing bread in your shoes. Tut tut. I’ll shake my head in disappointment.

Anyway! Get back to commenting in exchange for me editing your pages!

The pages bar at the top has had a very small change that you may not notice.

“Read New Chapters” is now “Online Reader“, under which the chapters will be parented. (You can check it out by hovering your mouse over the Online Reader tab.)

Cleaning and redrawing is 100% complete.

はじめまして!

C: Hello, and nice to met you for the first time. Welcome to this new page we have created for keeping you up to date and in the loop on the scanlation of the manga Midnight Sun. I hope that you can all enjoy this manga that we are working so hard on, and I encourage anyone to comment and post here.

Jackie: For those of you who were redirected from my LJ, LOOK! Isn’t this super shiny and awesome?! I’m excited too ;P. I heart my editor. C is awesome and created this (yes, the banner art was C too <3). Fun times. xD

We’ll both be posting stuff here. I’ll probably shorten my spiels for my posts here since it’s less a journal and looking more like a mini-(two man)scanlation group blog. Thing. (Warning. Even though this may be the case, Jackie is not going to act more professional. She feels like a wannabe-admin when she tries.)

I’m new at this, so bear with me as I fiddle around with this blog. Hopefully we can bring you even more fun stuff as you wait for the slow turtle to get on with it (the epic people who read my last LJ blog will know what this refers to ;P).
